A LAKE SHAPED LIKE A BIRD
After driving through heavy snow, we arrived in the strewnfield on April 24, 2009. Our first stop was a windy hill from which we could see the lake where University of Calgary student Ellen Milley recovered the first meteorites in November of 2008. A small river can be seen running through the Buzzard Coulee valley. To my eye, the lake looks like a bird in flight, which seemed rather appropriate.
