The introduction was written by prominent author Dr. Harry McSween (Meteorites and Their Parent Planets). An explanation of thin sections is provided by O. Richard Norton (Rocks From Space, Cambridge Encyclopedia of Meteorites). Historical notes on the 26 alphabetical meteorites were provided by Meteorite Studies author David Weir.
