| GLORIETA MOUNTAIN Rare Iron Meteorites from the Pallasite Strewn field (PAL) First discovered in the late 19th Century, Glorieta is one of the most remarkable and desirable American meteorites. Pallasites and siderites have both been found in the same strewnfield. Individuals display a lovely caramel patina, well defined thumbprints and fusion crust suggesting a fairly recent fall. The terrain is notoriously rugged and difficult to navigate, and for many years scouring the rugged slopes of Glorieta Mountain has been a right of passage for the most determined of meteorite hunters. Learn more about the history of the Glorieta Mountain meteorite. |

HENBURY Iron Meteorite (IIIAB) The Henbury iron was discovered in 1931 and is associated with twelve impact craters in central Australia; the largest is pictured at left. Henbury irons display one of the best desert patinas of any meteorite — a reddish-crimson color slowly acquired over hundreds of years. The crater field is now a protected area and meteorite hunting is no longer allowed. As a result Henburys have all but disappeared from the marketplace and these are my last specimens of any size. |

face of this specimen contrasts with the dramatic scoop, deep thumbprints
and sharp points on the reverse side. Weighing in at 3,175 grams this

meteorite. Exporting meteorites from Australia is now very difficult and
there is a good chance this will be our last specimen of this size. |

| MUNDRABILLA Iron Meteorite (IAB) A remarkable Australian iron, Mundrabillas are known for their unusual zoomorphic shapes, many of which seem to resemble animals or modern sculptures. Most available Mundrabilla specimens are very small. It is very unusual to see good quality sculptural specimens, such as these, of this size. |

| SIKHOTE-ALIN (SHRAPNEL) Iron Meteorite (IIAB) These exciting specimens are from the same fall, but are known as shrapnel specimens. They broke due to atmospheric pressure and/or mid-air collisions, and possibly also explosive fragmentation upon impact. These pieces really show the power and fury of an iron meteorite fall: ripped and torn edges reminiscent of bomb shrapnel. These pieces are very rare — they have not been cleaned and still have their attractive, natural ochre patina. |

TOLUCA Iron Meteorite (IAB) The Toluca iron comes from Xiquipilco in Mexico, near Mexico City. It is one of the earliest known meteorites and was first discovered in 1776, the same year that the United States declared independence from Great Britain. At that time, most scientists still did not believe that meteorites fell from the sky. Some early finds were forged into tools and weapons. Toluca has a particularly lovely etch pattern and is one of the few Mexican iron meteorites available to collectors. |
TOLUCA

WOLF CREEK Iron Meteorite (IIIAB) Australia's largest meteorite crater is also the second best preserved crater in the world, after Arizona's Meteor Crater (Canyon Diablo). The impactor was estimated at 50,000 tons in size and is thought to have hit the Earth about 300,000 years ago. Wolf Creek specimens are weathered, but have a unique character, an attractive dark ginger natural patina, and are one of our planet's oldest known meteorites. |
